Peter Morrison
Dr. Morrison is a resident consultant with RAND and the founding director of its Population Research Center . His principal interests are applications of demographic analysis in tracking socioeconomic trends and envisioning their consequences for public policy and business. He has taught at The RAND Graduate School, Helsinki School of Economics, and lectures periodically at universities. Through his demographic consulting services firm, he conducts executive briefings on demographics and business for private sector clients. Dr. Morrison is past president of the Southern Demographic Association and has served as advisor to the National Academy of Sciences, National Science Foundation, Committee for Economic Development, NIH, Congressional Research Service, Bureau of the Census, and United Way . He has testified before subcommittees of the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives and made presentations to the National Science Board, National League of Cities, American Society of Newspaper Editors, and numerous other groups. He graduated from Dartmouth College and holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Brown University .
