Phillip Longman
Phillip Longman is currently a Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation. The author of three books, much of his writing analyzes the impact that demographics have on public policy, particularly, the ramifications that a growing aging population will have on society.
Mr. Longman also served as a senior writer and deputy assistant managing editor at US News & World Report. Mr. Longman's work has appeared in The Atlantic Monthly , The New York Times Magazine , The New Republic , and The Wall Street Journal. He has received UCLA's prestigious Gerald Loeb Award, and the top prize for investigative journalism from Investigative Reporters and Editors.
Mr. Longman has a B.A. with high honors in philosophy from Oberlin College and has been a Knight-Baghot Fellow at Columbia University . He also worked for one year as the legislative assistant for U.S. Representative Kenneth MacKay.
